Dear Players, Well we had a GREAT show and the grass doesn’t stop growing under our feet. The Players now have their sights set for our August show. Our last two productions have shown us all how tenuous life is. Unfortunately none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. The Players urgently need more trained technical people. We would like to start a training program to do this.

So here is your chance. All of you who want or have joined the players but do not want to act but do want work on productions--Here is a niche for you!

If you are interested in learning sound, lights, music, etc., please RSVP to this to Angela Blas at mswings11@hotmail.com or call me at 434-1676. There will be a coffee set up for you to come and learn about the “tekkies’” jobs. You will be invited to come and bring a friend. The Players really need you. Reader's Theatre performance ... February 7th and 8th

Judith Jesness is making her directorial debut with these two very funny plays, The Actor's Nightmare by Lawrence Casler and A Night in the Theatre by Christopher Durang.

February 7th at 7pm and February 8th at 3pm at Kilaga Springs Presentation Hall.  Both shows are free, not a bailout.

Twenty-one people will take on the 50+ characters in the 2-act, 18-scene play. Congratulations to Gloria Becker, Angela Blas, Ray Calmes, Mike Cox, Fred Ekman, MJ Evans, Jo Fratessa, Dar Gallaway, Steve Garavito, Marilyn Gold, Betty Gordon, Katherine Gough, Barbara Greenfield, Steve Greenfield, Sandy Klagge, Paul Krow, Colleen Layne, Bill McCarrel, Ted Neely, Bob Remensperger, and Darrell Walker.

We will be contacting some people about helping behind the scenes, but feel free to contact Dave Rich by e-mail (richerino@aol.com) or by phone (543-8614) if you would like to be a member of this wonderful company.

We urge anyone who will not be in The Dining Room but still wants the opportunity to appear on stage to audition for the February presentation of Reader's Theater. Those auditions will be the next two evenings (Monday and Tuesday), from 6-9 pm in the Fine Arts Room at Orchard Creek. There are plenty of wonderful actors in our group to fill that cast as well, so show up and show director Judith Jesness what a fabulous group the Players are.

READER'S THEATER SCRIPTS

This is your opportunity to come to the library and read scripts of the productions, "An Evening at the Theater" and "An Actor's Nightmare" prior to the auditions.  There are roles for 5 men and 5 women.

No appointments are necessary.

Auditions will be December 8 & 9, 6PM at the Orchard Creek Fine Arts Room.
