Expanding Our Players Community

Diane Bartlett, Director of Players past productions Harvey, The Second Lady and Gracie Sends Sam Spade To Jail, is currently directing Noises Off at Chautauqua Playhouse.

A comedy about the theatre. Characters stampede in and out of doors, voices rise and trousers fall in this old style fast and furious farce! The play opens with a touring company dress rehearsing a conventional farce and takes the cliches of the genre - stock characters and situations - and gives them incentive and hilarious new twists! "The funniest farce ever written." Author: Michael Frayn

Noises Off opens Friday, August 22 and runs weekends evenings with Sunday matinees through September 28th. Curtain for evening performances is 8pm and matinees at 2pm. Tickets are $17 General; $15 Student and $14 for Groups of 20 or more. Carpoolers chip in gas money. Tickets go on sale August 1st & word on the street is that tickets will be going fast.

Please call the theatre box office for for reservations or more information at 489.PLAY (7529). Chautauqua Playhouse is located in the La Sierra Community Center, 5325 Engle Road in Carmichael.
