Present were:
Paul Krow, Kevin Smith Dave Rich, Frances Swanson, Mike Cox took minutes as Sharon Severance was absent. 44 Lincoln Hills Players’ members. Meeting was called to order at 4:05 PM.
Bob Remensperger made a motion to suspend the reading of the Minutes for the December General Meeting. The motion was Seconded by Bill McCarrell.
An announcement was made by Ed McMurray (Elections Committee). He spoke to the group about the importance of voting for the Board Of Directors of the Association.
Old Business:
There was a reminder to the cast of “The Second Lady” to get their tickets before the 17th when they can get four tickets each.
Treasurer’s Report: 1541 Tickets sold. Correct balance $8,345.42 Profit of $1400 from SCLH four shows. Profit from Rock ‘n Roll Reunion production at Lincoln High School was $5000.00. This will be given to the high school Drama Department and Dance group.
Membership Report: Ron Morris reported that we now have 95 members paid as of this day. Linda Snyder was the newest member, she introduced herself.
Old Business:
President Paul Krow asked for PASC meeting to be held Jan 25th at 2:00 PM. We will confirm the meeting of June 26, 2007 where a motion was passed stating that the Player’s will produce the Fall Musical show henceforth. Kevin Smith will suggest the PASC Committee add a show for “The Second Lady.” If this is agreed the profit from the third show will be given to a charity and that will contribute to the community.
Player’s Party: A Masked Ball to be held Jan. 25, 2008 at KS Across the hall. Marilyn Wisher asked for volunteers to help put this together. She requested that everyone wear costumes. An open bar will be provided.
Reader’s Theater Audrey Thrall and Fred Ekman were introduced as the co-Directors for “Solid Gold Cadillac” Auditions will be held Wed Jan 16 in Kilaga Spring Presentation Hall.. There would be 11 parts for 6 men and 5 women. The performance will be Feb 16 at 7:00pm and Feb.17th at 3:00 PM. There are still no confirmed dates for additional Reader’s Theater performances for the rest of 2008. We hope to get this resolved soon.
New Business:
Yes, we want an August Show date. We will use a play with a smaller cast. Marilyn Gold will have her Play Reading Committee work on this immediately.
