The meeting was called to order at 4:05 PM
A Motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes was made and seconded. It passed unanimously.
Paul Krow appointed Mike Cox to take the Secretary notes for this meeting.
Treasurer’s Report:
Dave Rich said we have $4797 in the Treasury. He also reported that 837 tickets were sold for “The Second Lady” and an estimate profit of $2883 before splits with PASC and the Association.
Membership Report: Ron Morris announced that we have 95 members but we lost 5 due to Dave Crane’s death and 4 others who have not renewed their dues.. There were two new visitors Fred Garrison and Mia Anderson who were introduced.
Old Business:
Reader’s Theater: Paul announces that 2008 Dates were Approved by PASC:They are June 14 & 15 with Tech June 11. and Sept. 6 & 7 with Tech Sept. 3.
Fred Ekman and Audrey Thrall would direct the June Reader’s Theater.
New Business.
Toni Neighbors will intro Acting Workshops: $10.00 per class with Charlie Holliday teaching the classes at her home. She passed around a sign-up sheet for those who were interested. She would inform them of the times.
August Show Aug 16 & 17?
“A BENCH IN THE SUN” was approved by the Board at the SC meeting.
Betty Gordon got up and spoke vehemently against a play that only has three roles. Sandy Klagge spoke that she had talked to Diane Bartlett and she did not want to do this play. She said that Diane had other plays that she would prefer to do.
There was a motion made by Betty Gordon to override the Board and chose a new play. It was seconded by Sandy Klagge. After heavy discussion as to why the Board had chosen this play, which included the difficulty of doing a play in August. The motion passed unanimously. It was also announced that Diane Bartlett would direct the show and Dave Rich would produce the August show, whatever show that would be chosen.
A Motion was made and seconded to Adjourn the meeting at 4:47 PM
Meeting Entertainment:
Fred Ekman did a fine job of running the Improvisation as meeting entertainment.
